Wrapping up Oregon.

It has been almost a year and a half since I have last posted on here. My how time flies! I spent all morning going back over my previous blog posts and correcting the grammar. I do have to admit I have enjoyed reading about the changes God has done in the last 5 years. Changes in my heart and my walk with him. And changes in our daily lives. I do confess I hadn't seen any significant changes since we have been living here in Portland. I have often stated that God has left us in the desert. I can't feel him as I used to. I am still working on reading the bible backward as I posted at some point in the past. I am almost done. I have worked my way to Exodus. If I'm diligent about it, I can finish by the end of the year.

I have finished writing book 2 in my trilogy. It's available on Amazon as well. It's called Adventures in Lamron. I started writing book 3. It's going slowly.

My husband has had some career issues that has caused some stress. Extensions, medical matters, re-enlistment issues but through it all God has faithfully been on our side walking with us.  Most recently his re-enlistment was approved after waiting for what felt like a lifetime. We are waiting on it to hit the system. Once that hits we plan to put in for a particular order called HUMS orders. We have a family member who is now battling stage 3 cancer. We hope God will allow us to stay close and serve her.

I have also had to mourn the loss of a relationship with my sister. I won't go into details. I pray someday that relationship will be restored.

Remember when I posted way back when about serving neighbors here in Oregon? What would that look like? Well, we now have two more unofficial adopted children, and I have a new sister. Miss "P". I have watched her grow and change so much in the last few months. She is eagerly learning about God and wanting to know more. Someday soon she will be a believer. I know it. God is knocking on her door.

I'm not sure when I will post again. I plan on taking some more time off to work on book 3, prepare for serving our family, prepare for yet our last PCS in my husband's almost 20-year career with USMC. I pray you are all well and that God spoke to you while I was writing these posts.
