Thought I had it all

School mornings, as I said were the hardest. I counted down for weekends; sometimes counting down until the big breaks. My youngest was not walking very fast, we were usually late or right on time for the bus stop. Each morning we dealt with a lost shoe or the lost backpack, but we made it every morning. We were usually greeted with Oh look there's Punky (my youngest), the older girls would come and entertain her in the stroller, while we waited. My boys would need to bring a car or something to play with at the bus stop, they (the cars) became the most popular for entertainment at the bus stop.

Our community (neighborhood) has a Christmas brunch every year at the clubhouse. This was our first of 5 Christmas brunches we would attend. I was excited! I didn't have to cook breakfast on that Saturday. We finished eating, and the girls from the bus stop came over to our table asked if our children could play? I said, "sure" and sent them off with a gentle reminder to mind their manners. After about 20 min my hubby was ready to go back home, so we told the kids its time to go. Of course they didn't want to leave. They had just made new friends.  My children asked if the girls could come over and play at the house. I'm thinking to myself "I have 3 children whats 2 more?" They played for an hour and then left.

The following week there was no school and my children were bored, I decided to take them to the local museum. I asked the girls if they wanted to come with us? They did want to go and were able to go. This was the start of a friendship that meant so much more. We finished off the school year gaining 3 more friends. One had to move away.

My prayer life and journal went in cycles. I would do really well praying and writing in my prayer journal, and then I would not do it at all. I was getting what I thought I needed from going to Cg. I had friendships outside the home (even though they were children), I was serving in the nursery. I thought I had it all. Haha, the joke is on me. Come back tomorrow to find out more.
